Hi, I need help on how to get windows again. This problem has been stressing me out for 2 full days now. I've followed youtube tutorials, explaining how I need to get to the BIOS Setup and disable secure boot or switch up the order of the UEFI thingy (there was no option for legacy boot). I genuinely need help. Someone please get to me on this. It feels like Microsoft is **bleep**ing me over. My mom is taking it to a tech geeks to repair it but I have little hopes as of now.

My laptop is a HP Laptop 15-ef2126wm

Thank you a lot for this! I didnt do your method but I reinstall windows but had to get all my data back which was a pain. Is there any way to not let the "sign in options are disabled" to never happen again?

@StarStrucker, thank you for your response

Check Group Policy (for Pro/Enterprise versions)

Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.

Go to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon
Make sure "Turn off Windows Hello for Business" is set to Not Configured.

Also, go to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Biometrics
Make sure "Allow users to log on using biometrics" is Enabled.

Windows Hello in Settings

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

Check if options like Windows Hello, PIN, or Fingerprint are enabled.

Update Windows

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates to make sure your system is up-to-date.

I hope this helps.
