Hello,

recently my laptop would now power on, and after plugging it into the charger and holding down the power button the message “Boot Device Not Found” came up against a black screen. It also says “please install an operating system on your hard disk.” I ran the F2 System Diagnostics tests and everything passed so I am wondering what the issue could be. Thank you for any help in advance.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Hard disk 3F0 boot device not found error- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3053911-2842957-16 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
