Hi @VIVEK170

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The "Boot Device Not Found" error can occur when your computer is unable to locate the necessary disk drive to load the operating system. Here are some steps you can take to attempt to resolve this issue:

Check Boot Order in BIOS:

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key during boot (often F10, F2, Esc, or Del).
  • Ensure that the correct hard drive is set as the primary boot device.
  • Save any changes and exit the BIOS.

Check Physical Connections:

  • If possible, open the computer and make sure the hard drive is properly connected.
  • Check for loose cables or connections.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • HP provides built-in diagnostics tools that you can access by pressing the Esc key and selecting "Diagnostics" or pressing F2 during startup.
  • Run a test on your hard drive to check for faults.

Restore BIOS Defaults:

  • Enter BIOS setup and consider restoring default settings to ensure the boot configuration is correct.

Re-seat Hard Drive:

  • If you are comfortable, power down the device, remove the battery if it's a laptop, and try re-seating the hard drive. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.

Check for Software Corruption:

  • If you have recovery media, attempt to boot from it to check if the system drive is accessible. This can help ascertain whether the operating system is corrupted.

These steps are a general guide, and depending on your model, the steps might vary. If the issue persists, it may indicate a hardware fault that needs direct intervention from HP's phone support team.
