Hp 450 g5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon guys. I just ran into a huge problem last night when my Hp 450 G5 ran into some suspicious performance mode, I then later received a message from windows saying there's an error with my disk drive and so I need to reset it but ever since I did that, my laptop has been acting up and showing me this message when I try to investigate the matterIMG_20181121_185529.jpg

Hi:

Your notebook is a relatively new model, so if it is still under warranty, contact HP technical support and submit a support case under the warranty to get the hard drive replaced, and the operating system reinstalled.

If it is not under warranty, below is the link to the service manual.

The hard drive R & R procedures can be found in chapter 5.

By having it replaced will my data be backuped and retrievable after the replacement because that was what I had suspected.

Your data will not be backed up or recovered by HP.

You can try do recover the data yourself by purchasing a SATA to USB adapter and plug it into a PC's USB port and see if you can read/copy the data off the hard drive.

Usually data recovery is not successful, which is why we should periodically do backups.
