Boot to BitLocker Recovery Screen after HP Firmware update.

Hi,

I just bought a HP ENVY x360 15-ee0020ca 2-in-1 Laptop, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U, did the initial setup and then I was updating the laptop via Windows update. One of the updates was an HP firmware update. That seemed to work, but on the final reboot in now goes to a BitLocker recovery screen and asks me to enter the recovery key for this drive.  I did not bitlocker the drive at all and I do not have any recovery key. It also said that secure boot was changed. I changed nothing from my end except update the laptop.  I thought Windows 10 did not have bitlocker, only Win10Pro. What do I do? Help!

Ok, an update. It turns out Win10 home edition has a truncated version of bitlocker, called device encryption. No matter what they call it, it is still bitlocker, which means format C: if you see the bitlocker recovery screen and you have no recovery key. It would have been nice to know about this during the initial setup. I would have turned it off, but no choice was given. If you are going to force this device encryption then it should automatically save the recovery key to your microsoft account. 

Solution:  Format C: via re-installing windows 10 via the media-creation-tool. Used the current version of Win10 v2004 and I am operational again. Seems to run better.

Odd, I tried loading Win10 Enterprise edition (from work), and it did not recognise the NVMe driver. Does anyone know what HP is using for the NVMe controller or what driver should be used. I tried using 64bit OFA NVMe Driver v1.5.0.0 for Win10 x64, but it did not work.
