Have you run diagnostics?
Turn off the computer - hold power button down for 30 full seconds then release. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly tap the ESC key to access diagnostics.
What was the update? If it was a BIOS update there are a few different things we can try.
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.
