- This is the error message that I'm getting. Boot device not found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard disk 3F0.
Please note that I have a black screen with those details on it along with the website that I found you guys and now.
I have a HP Pavilion laptop 15- cs3 XXX.
The factory installed OS is Windows 10 when I purchase the laptop. The processor type is Intel r core TM i7 1065 G7 cpu@ 1.3 GHz

Press F2 when on the screen shown to find out what that test indicates. If it still says "Boot device not found" then the drive has either failed or become disconnected. Most likely failed and it will need to be replaced and Windows reinstalled, assuming you do not have a recent backup. Do you know if that drive is a M.2 or SATA?
I'm not an HP employee.
