Hi @Billy39johnson,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A boot loop error on an HP Notebook with the message "pnp driver watchdog" can indicate a problem with a device driver or a hardware component. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Perform a hard reset: Shut down the computer, remove the battery and unplug the power cord. Then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Reconnect the battery and power cord, and turn on the computer.
- Try booting in safe mode: Press the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. This will bring up the Advanced Boot Options menu. Select "Safe Mode" and see if the computer boots up without any errors.
- Update device drivers: Boot the computer in safe mode and go to the Device Manager. Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark or red X next to them. Right-click on the device and select "Update Driver Software."
- Check for hardware issues: If updating device drivers doesn't work, it's possible that there is a hardware problem. You can run hardware diagnostics by pressing F2 or Esc during startup to enter the BIOS setup. Look for a hardware diagnostics tool and run it to check for any issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
