Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the notebook around 3 weeks ago and have been experiencing frequent and random freezes.

Here's what I have done searching solutions on google:

1. In power plans "Turn off Harddisk after: Never"

2. Updated Windows 10 to the most recent build (Last verson was June 2016, also freezes)

3. In the BIOS (F2 during booting), done System Test > Extensive Test, no errors after check up.

The freezes happen whether I'm browsing chrome or on the desktop. However when I played games on a Playstation Emulator or Online games, freezes never occur. Though I can't be absolutely sure if it's just luck, since I only play for 2~5 hours at a time. My internet connection is wireless.

Please advise, thanks

Actually i had same kind of problem for like 2 month. I was going to visit service center but then did a budge research on this kind of freezing. As for me i had sometimes wired kind of noise from headphones or speakers after it lagged.(I must notice that sometimes it was freezing silently also) But it gave me an idea that it might be sound drivers problem. By default windows 10 downloads audio drivers for it. But as for me i also downloaded official b&o drivers from HP website for this laptop. After i deleted them freezing stopped....(still not sure because i did it a week ago and since then i was using it lightly ~ 5-6 h/day).

I would also like to notice that right before it all started i reinstalled Windows and at the same time added 1 more stick of 8 GB RAM. I spend around 2 weeks making all kind of tests on both sticks of RAM because i believed that problem is in that. Hope that it`s not and after  i deleted one of that sound drivers it will stop this.

And also hope my comment will help people in that) Feel free to like it)
