So. I've been getting the usual blue screen that comes with this whenever I attempt to reset/shut down (That or the screen just freezes), or uninstall USB rootdrive from device manager. Though now I can't hook up my wireless mouse to my laptop either (It functions on another computer.) And hooking up my X-box 1 controller doesn't work anymore either. Though my tablet connects, charges, and I can access it's storage when I hook it up. Not exactly sure how I'm supposed to fix this and help would be appreciated.
Overall the my main goal is to just get the mouse detected again, because the computer actually functions fine aside from when I try to do those previously mentioned things. Though solutions in general would be nice.
Details that may be of importance:
My mouse does work on other computers, but other mouses don't work on the laptop.
When I attempt to shut down/reset the computer it either blue screens or the screen just freezes up and I have to power down via the power button.
Outside of that if I go into device manager and try to delete 2 of the 4 USB Root hubs and I believe the two: Standard OpenHCD USB host controller things in it the blue screen comes up.
I have Windows 7, 64bit
Laptop is an HP Pavilion g6
The little code thing that appears on the blue screen is:
STOP: 0x000000fe (0x0000000000000008, 0x0000000000000006, 0x0000000000000006, 0xfffffa8005f2d000)

Hey there! @Edgy_Robin,
Try the steps recommended below and check if it helps.
Try restoring the BIOS to default.
1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Turning off some power management features might solve the issue.
Go to the start menu ( you can also use Run ( windows logo key + R )
type in devmgmt.msc & press enter
This will open device manager
Now, expand the section that says Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Right Click USB root hub
Click on properties
Click on power management tab
uncheck Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power
Press Ok
Restart your computer
To work around this issue, disable the Selective Suspend feature in the Usbccgp component. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start button, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
Locate the UsbccgpCapabilities registry entry in the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\<VID&PID>\<InstanceID>\Device Parameters
Notes
“VID&PID” is the Vendor ID and Product ID of the USB device.
“InstanceID” is an instance of the USB device.
Set the value of the UsbccgpCapabilities registry entry to 10, and then click OK.
Restart the computer to apply the change.
If you still have issues after trying out the steps try resetting the PC back to the factory settings.
