Hi,
I bought the above laptop at a local auction. They handle a lot of lost and found for airports etc. It didn't have a SSD in it, so I've thrown one in, and want to install Windows from a USB. USB isn't an option so I want to go into the BIOS to allow that, but it wants a password....
I've read a bit, but I don't get a code after three attempts, it just says system locked.
What's my next step?
Thank you in advance!

Whoa found this https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824
Do they really brick computers like this? It's not like I can steal data when the SSD was removed! This would have sat at Heathrow waiting for 6 months for it's owner to reclaim it before going to the auction, so it's completely legit.
Is there anything I can do?
