HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14-ea0000 (1Q879AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I cannot reinstall Win 11. When I go to Recovery Mode it shows me "stop code driver pnp watchdog (0x1d5)"

If I insert a USB driver and reinstal Win 11, HDD doesn't appear. I download Intel Rapid Storage driver and insert into boot USB but when I try to install those drivers it is still showing "stop code driver pnp watchdog (0x1d5)"

Any help? Thanks

Try the drivers that I zipped up and attached below:

If those drivers don't work either, and your PC came with W11 from HP, then try the HP cloud recovery tool to make a bootable USB recovery drive that is supposed to reset your PC's drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

Hi Paul_Tikkanen,

I could fix it. I had to enter into BIOS and disable Secure Boot and erase hard disk. After that, I tried to reinstall Win11 using Intel Rapid Storage driver and it worked.

Thanks anyway for your support.

You're very welcome.

Glad you got your notebook back up and running again.
