ProBook 6460b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I recently installed Windows 10 on an old laptop (ProBook 6460b). Now im trying to update the BIOS, but when I restart the notebook to complete the process,  the following message appears:

An important System BIOS update is available, but the computer is not connected to external power.

Im already connected to external power since my notebook is not using  battery (is totally dead)

hope I can find a solution

Thanks for all!

@mrtipex

As far as I know, there is no solution.

The HP product page for that model shows it only being supported up to Windows 8.1 -- and HP makes their BIOS updates OS-specific.  This means you can not run a BIOS update designed for Windows 8.1 in Windows 10.

So, the error message you're getting is not this issue.
