hp rtl8822ce
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys, I'm a university student that got this Hp laptop for free. All I know about it is that the model number is Rtl8822ce, and unfortunately I cannot get the serial number as my screen is not switching on.

 

The cap lock button blinks 5 times slowly, then 3 times rapidly. I've tried to hold the power button down for a solid 15 seconds, to no avail.

 

Is there anything I can do?

Please try a hard reset and see if it works.

 

  • Power off your laptop
  • Remove the a/c adapter, battery and everything that is attached to your laptop.
  • Hold the 'POWER' button down on your laptop for about 10 seconds.
  • Plug in the a/c power supply (without battery) and power on.

I've not been able to remove the battery as yet. Will try this and update.
