My laptop has one blink on the caps lock light continuously and screen doesn't boot. I tried pushing the On button 20+ seconds with and without power cord connection, didn't help. I also tried the Win Key + B/V key and Power button suggestion without any success

I read through the link https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01732674 - it doesn't seem to provide a diagnosis for continuous one blink every couple of seconds.

I haven't tried removing the battery since I don't have the tools. I should be getting the repair tools later today in case I need to open up the laptop.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

@NYarla, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'm afraid this seems like an hardware failure with the CPU, let us try these steps to resolve the issue.

Disconnect all the external peripherals connected to the PC.

Run a hardware test on the PC :

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3. Perform System Test > Quick test. Share the result

You may also refer to this document for more info on blinking light on the PC.

Let me know how this goes.
