Pavilion g4-1303AU
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

For a few days, just turning on the power of my laptop is blinking the 1 time continue of the only

caps lock light and no display. But sometimes after 1-2 days it does the right thing to start but then on shutting down, the same problem comes up. I changed the Ram and still saw the problem. Pls help.

@Abhijeet6 Note that specific patterns of long and short blinks along with long and short beeps (where applicable) identify errors during the startup process.
Newer computers have two-part blink sequences with different color lights to indicate specific errors and you may click here and troubleshoot on your own, or check below:

 

In your case, since that's an old product, 1 blink represents = CPU not functional,

And If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
