ive done everything i can think of. Everytime i log onto warzone i get the BIOS firmware needs to be updated and secure boot not enabled. its in UEFI ive hit f10 when restarting and checking to see if secure boot is enabled the little bar is to the right which i assume means enabled. its driving me crazy.

Same here:

It seems to be a much deeper issue of a nonexistent BIOS update.

Hi @braenden

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that If you've already confirmed that Secure Boot is enabled in BIOS but Warzone still reports "BIOS firmware needs to be updated" or "Secure Boot not enabled," the problem is often not the Secure Boot toggle itself.

A few things to check:

Verify Secure Boot status in Windows

  • Press Windows + R
  • Type msinfo32 and press Enter
  • Look for:
    • BIOS Mode: should be UEFI
    • Secure Boot State: should be On

Check if Secure Boot keys are enrolled

  • In BIOS, Secure Boot can appear enabled, but the security keys may not be installed.
  • Look for options such as:
    • Restore Factory Keys
    • Load HP Factory Default Keys
    • Reset Secure Boot Keys
  • Save changes and restart.

Confirm TPM 2.0 is enabled

  • Press Windows + R, type tpm.msc
  • Verify it reports:
    • "TPM is ready for use"
    • Specification Version: 2.0

Check for BIOS updates

  • Even if the system appears current, some anti-cheat systems specifically check BIOS versions.
  • Let me know your exact Victus model (for example, Victus 16-d0xxx, 16-r0xxx, etc.) and current BIOS version from msinfo32. https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
