My Compaq 610 (2010 model) screen gets blank (no backlite) on power on. Capslock & DVD writer lights come up only once on startup ,but WLAN light is permanently ON. No beep after power is switched on.
I have changed CMOS cell also to reset the bios without any success.
Notebook was in 'suspended' mode (sleep mode) in Linux Mint 19.1 OS. Problem came up when I tried to wake it up.
Any suggestions to rectify will be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

No help has come from Community so far.
Nevertheless, I took the Notebook to local Motherboard Mechanic, who figured the problem to be as faulty Graphics Chip ( ATI Radeon in this case). The reason : heating up due to dusty fan over a period of time. Repair Charges - equivalent of $40.
He also advised annual /biannual maintenance of Notebook (charges equivalent of $10).
He further mentioned that faulty BIOS, which I had assumed in this case, also throws up initial screen with logo. I was wrong there.
I thought of sharing these inputs for the general benefit of the Community.
The issue raised by me therefore be treated as solved and closed.
Thanks everyone,
