HP ENVY NOTEBOOK 15T-AS000 CTO (ENERGY STAR)
My computer was telling me my system fan 90B wasn’t functioning properly. A couple months later the computer turned off and wouldn’t turn back on. I replaced the fan as the error message said but it still won’t turn on. Any ideas what is wrong and how I can fix it?? Thank you!

@mraeb2009

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Forums.

I came across your post and would like to assist.

I understand that you have an HP ENVY Notebook 15t-as000 series laptop. I read that initially there was a system fan 90B error. A few months later the laptop turned off and since then it does not power on. The battery seems to be fully charged and a white light appears.

The evidence indicates that the charger is working fine as it is charging the battery.

During my research, I came across the following steps that should help:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

If the laptop does not power on then try to remove the battery out and power on the laptop using only the charger. Likewise, you may disconnect the charger and power on the laptop using only the battery.

In case the laptop continues to not power on then it should be an internal motherboard failure. It would be a good idea to contact our HP phone support team to explore the available service options based on the warranty status.

Good luck! 🙂
