HELP!
My HP Envy laptop is 6 years old. It mostly works great.
Saturday night I shut down normally. No problems.
I turned on the computer Sunday morning and now I'm in hell.
It gets stuck either at the loading screen (logo and spinngy donut of doom), at the repair disk screen (with spinning donut of doom) or repairing drive C: 0% progress screen (again with spinning donut of doom).
I tried various ways to fix it that I found online (holding the shift button, pressing the function key 8 or 11), etc (function keys do not work), tried to create a boot up usb on my other computer (a laptop with barely enough memory) but that didn't work either, I keep getting the same result.
Currently, it's stuck at the logo screen with spinning donut.
Can anyone in this community help me? I only have $30 bucks to my name so can't even afford to take it to the repair place down the street (he does free diagnostic but of course everything else is not cheap).
*sigh*
I need that computer to work at least one more year. Or six months even.
HELP?
Can

What is the exact product number, full model name of your notebook?
What is the currently installed operating system?
Have you tried to do a system restore to a previous good point of time?

I need the full model name, product number.
And you've not answered all my queries.
You can follow the document I have sourced previously and follow the section "Restore your computer when Windows cannot start normally"

I can't asnwer all your questions because I don't know...I only know I have an HP Envy ... I can't read the serial number on the bottom anymore as it is partially faded off...sorry.
I did read that document by my Function keys on my laptop no longer work. So I was not able to do the fix you gave me. Thank you for your time and effort.
