I have an HP Pavilion DV6, which was bought in 2013. It has no warranty nothing, just holding it for the sake of emotional value. I upgraded it a lot, and it kept running fine, until one day it just died. When plugged in without the battery, the light just stays on, after pressing the power button the light goes off for one or two seconds, and then turns on again. With the battery, when plugged in, the light flashes constantly, upon pressing the power button, stays steady for some time, and starts flashing again. holding the power button doesn't work in either cases. I checked the motherboard with a tester, and roughly there is voltage almost everywhere. Any suggestion would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi @hzpreenon
Welcome to the HP support community.
I completely understand how frustrating it must be to deal with your HP Pavilion DV6, especially given the emotional value it holds for you. It sounds like you've put a lot of effort into upgrading and maintaining it over the years, so it’s understandably disappointing to see it not functioning properly.
Based on your description, it sounds like there could be a few potential issues at play. Here are some suggestions that might help you troubleshoot the problem:
Lets try bios recovery first :

Thank you so much for your time Raj, however none of the solutions actually worked...
although, from your second link, i managed to identify one indication.
"The white light blinks represent a minor error category (short blinks)"
But that's pretty much it....

Hi @hzpreenon
I suspect its the power issue, Battery or poweer cable, did you try with different power cable or battery.
