Computer will not start and I've already tried a backup cord and I've already tried holding the power button and removing the internal battery. With the battery and I at the LED for the power adapter I get five orange lights and one white light. With the battery out I get a continuous blinking light about once every 4 seconds

Hi @bocephus2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blinking light patterns you're seeing on your HP Notebook 15t are typically diagnostic codes that indicate specific hardware issues. Here's a breakdown of what they might mean.
- Five Orange Lights and One White Light (with battery in):
This pattern often indicates a battery-related issue. It suggests the battery may not be holding a charge or might be defective. Since you've already tried a backup power cord and the issue persists, this could imply a deeper issue with the battery or the power delivery components. - Continuous Blinking Light (about every 4 seconds, with battery out):
This blinking light could indicate an issue related to the system's ability to detect power. Since the blinking persists even with the battery removed, it may be signaling a problem with the internal power circuitry or the motherboard.
Troubleshooting Steps.
Hard Reset
- Disconnect the AC adapter.
- Remove the battery (if possible).
- Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.
- Reconnect only the AC adapter (leave the battery out for now).
- Try turning on the laptop.
Check RAM Modules
If possible, remove the RAM modules and reseat them. Sometimes, poor contact can cause booting issues. Here's how:
- Remove the power adapter and battery.
- Open the back cover to access the RAM.
- Gently remove the RAM and reseat it, ensuring it's properly seated.
Inspect Charging Port
Ensure the charging port is not damaged. Sometimes, a faulty port can prevent the laptop from receiving proper power.
Test with External Monitor
Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor to rule out a display issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
