I bought this laptop from the pawn shop and everything seem fine untill i powered it on and its been stuck in a black screen saying boot device not found please install a operating system on your hard disk and im at lost to even know what ti do

Since this is a pawn shop purchase, it could be the previous owner toke out the hard drive.

To verify the situation, run the Diagnostics routine. This will tell if the drive has failed or not, or if it missing altogether.

To run the Diagnostics routine, Start tapping the Esc key BEFORE starting the PC and then press the start button.
Keep tapping the Esc key until a popup menu shows. Then pick Diagnostics from that popup menu, F2.
Report back with the results after running the Diagnostics routine. Also need the PC model number.

Depending on the results, it might be possible to get this PC running like new again.
