Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there. I've had an HP spectre x360 for about 4 years and it has always worked well, with battery life excellent even after a lot of use. 2 days ago I noticed that the battery was losing charge for being plugged in. I tried a power reset 3 times but with no joy.( I had this problem once before in Jan 2018 and this fixed the problem in a few minutes.) The were no recent updates, no unusual use. In the last 8% of power I ran HP diagnostic tool and the battery'passed'. I've also tried it with a different adapter at PC World Know-how desk. Now the computer won't switch on at all anymore as it has a sealed battery and the power source does not bypass the battery. I don't know whether to send it off for repair with PCWorld for £60 + repair costs (out of warranty, of course!). And I can't take any further steps as it won't switch on anymore. Is it likely to be repairable? It has been working absolutely perfectly until 2 days ago. Thanks

Hi Crazy Toad. Thanks for your reply. Yes - in the end I had to do exactly that. We tried a few things that they suggested but ulitmately they are sending a courier to pick my laptop up and repair it. So we shall see what the problem is....

Thanks for your advice!
