HP Notebook 1DL95EA#ABU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had a couple of problems with my computer suddenly turning off (not shutting down, just turning off) even when the battery is displaying at over 20%. I am not getting the usual notification that my battery power is running low, the laptop just turns off unexpectedly. When I power up, (with the power cable attached) every time it shows a reasonable battery charge. This morning, when I turned on my PC it showed a message saying that my battery may be in need of replacement. I have noticed over the past couple of months that it does not appear to be taking a charge when I do plug the power cable in (there is normally a red light when it is charging) and the bottom display shows 'plugged in, not charging'.

Any thoughts? Even if I do need to replace the battery, I don't understand why I am no longer getting notifications that the power is low, as was the norm. The laptop is only a couple of years old, so very disappointing if the battery is at fault.
