Hi
I have a laptop with the following details
Model 14-ck0076tu
Prod ID 4nb34pa#abg
serial number [Personal Information Removed]
The laptop was working fine up until about a week ago but now when turning it on all that happens is that the caps lock flashes slowly 3 times followed by 2 fast flashes.
I have done the following to try to rectify the situation but I am at a loss as I can't find any information on the specific blink codes.
-rebooted. (so many times I've lost count)
-removed the battery (tried booting with and without the battery)
-left the battery out and left connected to charger for hours (there's posts that say the bios battery goes flat and that is the way to fix it)
-tried reflashing the bios (just get a blank screen and absolutely no change)
I had given up hope on the laptop on the laptop returning to life and was just going to pull out the hard drive and swap to another laptop to recover all the documents. I got an incredibly rude surprise when I discovered not only was the hdd not a mechanical hdd or even a plug in SSD but was a soldered in eMMc. I am now at a complete loss as the specific blink codes don't seem to exist anywhere and there appears to be no way short of desoldering and soldering into a matching mobo.
Please help as I really don't look forward to trying to solder a 2nd hand eMMc chip into a working laptop.

Hi:
Please refer to the blink code table at the link below...
HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code | HP® Customer Support
Looks like a possible memory chip issue...
3.2 (blink) | Hardware | The embedded controller times out waiting for BIOS to return from memory initialization. | Reseat the memory. See the section Reseating memory modules in a notebook for more information. If reseating the memory does not resolve the problem, try replacing the memory modules. You might also consider contacting support for repair due to a possible RAM or system board failure. |
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure...

Oops. I forgot steps that I had done.
I removed the ram, cleaned the contacts, blew out the socket and reseated the ram. (no change)
I put in a new memory module (no change)
I'll give the contacts a clean on both the module and the socket and try again. That link is the first time that I have seen the 3.2 blink code listed and/or explained. It's not in any of the pdf's I read for the laptop.
I have tried to find an actual service contact but the HP site is mega painful to navigate.
