10 days out of warrantee and my laptop is completely dead.
By dead I mean nothing, no keyboard lights, no fan sounds or beeps, no visible signs that it is trying to boot, nothing on the screen.
The battery seems like it is charging ok (amber light until charged, then white light. Regardless, I tried disconnecting the battery and holding the power button for 20 seconds to reset. I have also tried with a known good power supply, so feel like I have discounted a battery/power issue.
There haven't been any BIOS or Windows updates for over a month, and no signs that anything hardware related was slowly degrading and just now given up the ghost. This seems to have happened out of nowhere having previously been perfectly stable.
I heard that there was a common fault with power button on the X360, but can't find any support articles on the topic.
Any ideas for further diagnosis/fixes would be very welcome!
Many thanks,
