Device hangs at Sure Start after windows update

Does it help when you switch off secure boot as well.

I also remember that there was an issue with a certain Windows Update (KB ???) last year. That has been withdrawn and now I don't know what happend to that.

when you see HPLogo with Sure Star label, it's jus the HP Boot logo, it doesn't meanlikein this case the Sure Run is the reason of  "not booting"

when I need to troubleshoot booting issue , I boot WinPE from an USBKey

then I modify the BCD boot file in order to see if bcd file is read by boot manager.

do you know how to do this kind of modification ?

if the issue is not in boot manager, you at list see something happenins after HP Boot loge and  that the computer is not in hang but there is something wrong in boot sequence.

You may try to repair EFI partion or just verofy what does you group policy does.
