Hello everyone, few days back ...just diagnose my laptop...for disk boot failure...attached is the test..Can anyone please confirm..the problem..? .sata cable...or hdd has to be replaced..or something else..

Hi:

 

Based on the report you provided, it appears you need to install a new drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

If the cable or drive controller was bad, you would have gotten a 'Hard drive not found' error.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, you can use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

 

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...you will need to have access to another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive.
