Hi @Bast01,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with the display on your Victus by HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-R0000 (76T03AV) remains black while the computer turns on and the LEDs light up, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
Power Cycle:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery if removable) and try turning on the laptop.
Check Display Connections:
- Connect an external monitor to the laptop via HDMI or DisplayPort to check if the issue is with the internal display. If the external monitor works, the issue might be with the laptop's display or its connections.
Reset BIOS:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly (about once every second) until the BIOS Setup Utility opens.
- If the BIOS Setup Utility opens, use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Exit" tab.
- Select "Load Setup Defaults" and press Enter.
- Save changes and exit.
Check for Error Beeps or LEDs:
- If there are any specific beep codes or LED blinking patterns when you turn on the laptop, note them down. These codes can help identify the issue.
