HP Notebook - 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every time I attempt to do this update: Realtek RTL8xxx Series Wireless LAN Drivers for Microsoft Windows 10, I get a BSoD with the kernel security check failure when it attempts to download. Any help to stop this would be great.

Hi:

See if downloading the latest driver directly from HP works for you...

Did attempt that and got the same BDoS as I have been getting. I really wish I knew if this driver was important or not. My computer keeps shutting itself down when it goes into sleep mode since this started happening.

If your notebook's wifi is working OK, there is no need to install the update.

If it is coming from Microsoft, run the Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent the automatic update from showing up and trying to install.
