Some of my drivers were being updated in December, but one of them crashed I think and I got a blue screen.
"Stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE"
I just recently bought this laptop a few months ago with windows 10 already on it (didnt update it) so didnt have any problems before. The main issues at the moment are:
1) When I put the laptop to sleep (through the start button or closing the lid), it wont turn back on, you can hear it running, but the screen is blank.
2) Almost everytime I turn it on, the laptop has to be connected to wifi manually.
I have seen a lot of forums and videos related to this and all of them talk about using CMD in administrator mode and seeing if "powercfg -requests" shows anything and disabling it. However at the beggining and recently again it shows:
SYSTEM:
[DRIVER] Realtek High Definition Audio(SST) (INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0295&SUBSYS_103C83A9&REV_1000\4&34d3fba7&1&0001)
An audio stream is currently in use.
But, in the middle for a few weeks, it didn't show anything at all, and the laptop was still having the same issues. I have exams going on, and I have all of my study materials on my laptop, im really stressed and can't find a fix.

Before I tried anything, I ran cmd as an admin again the powercfg -request showed nothing (first pic). But it didnt fix anything.
Then I updated BIOS and the graphics driver using the links you gave. This allowed my computer screen to turn back on after putting it to sleep.
The second picture shows all the recent driver update skips - no idea why and how these were skipped
The third picture shows the list of driver updates I did in Jan, one of them failed/glitched, resulted in a blue-screen and caused these problems.
Im just providing all this information for feedback purposes.
Note: My settings were already the same as the ones youve listed in the 8-steps diagnostic procedure. However, the 9 step procedure you have listed could not be performed as I have a built in battery in my laptop (I provided the model above), and couldn't remove it.

Update: It worked for a little while, its stopped working again. Goes to sleep, wont wake back up, can hear the computer running, but screen's blank.
Forgot to mention 2 other problems that were caused aswell (im adding as much information as possible so maybe some dots can be connected and a solution found). I have also ruin HP diagnostic tests and all of them have passed.
Since the blue screen, my start-up has slowed down quite a bit, and when i put the computer to sleep the battery would drain much faster.
Please look at this issue and get back to me with a proper solution as soon as possible.

Hi! @Ghazan, thanks for your response again
I appreciate your efforts in trying out the steps.
As you still have issues waking the PC from sleep.
Try the steps recommended below and check if it helps.
Enabling the Keyboard in Windows
Skip this step if the computer does not enter sleep mode or if the computer wakes unexpectedly.
Follow these steps to enable your keyboard to wake your computer from sleep mode:
-
In Windows, search for and open the Device Manager.
-
Click the arrow next to Keyboards and double-click the name of your keyboard.
-
If the Power Management tab is available, proceed to the next step.
If the Power Management tab is not available, click the Change Settings button if it appears below the Device status box. The same Keyboard Properties window opens with the Power Management tab available.
If you are prompted for an Administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
-
Click the Power Management tab and make sure that the box next to Allow this device to wake the computer is checked.
-
Click OK, and then test to make sure that the keyboard can now wake the computer
Let me know if this works!
Take Care! 🙂
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

IT doesnt allow me to change settings, and I still feel like this wouldn't solve the issue because like I previously started, when I try to wake it up from sleep mode, i can hear it start, the power light is on, you can hear the fan and laptop running, just the screen wont come back on, so i have to hold the power button, shut it down, wait a few minutes and then restart it. Do u think it has anything to do with the IMEI driver? and if so how can I update it, because like i showed in the pictures above, the later update for the IMEI driver was skipped
