OMEN 16 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-am0000 (A57XDAV)

Firmware: F11, HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI: 10.8.1.0

Ubuntu 25.04 was successfully installed, entries for shimx64 exist in the UEFI FAT partition. It is possible to boot into Ubuntu by choosing select file from EFI option in the Boot option menu that becomes available on clicking F9 at startup.

What is not happening, create UEFI boot entry using:

1. bcdedit - The entry is not listed on reboot.(it is shown to be present when bcdedit /enum firmware is executed)

2. EasyUEFI or efibootmgr : The entry is gets deleted on reboot.

I have also followed the instructions from a similar post on this forum and it did not yield the desired results.

Fast startup is disabled, hibernate is disabled.
