Found this computer got this computer from a friend about two years ago. last week i tried to change my HDD but realized that the machine has a BIOS password. i need help to remove it because he said he's forgotten the password.

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

 

That was the only way it could be done.

Most HP business notebooks including the one you have, do not generate system disabled codes.

 

Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.
