Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I need to reset my  68ICF Ver. F.65 BIOS on my 8470p Eiitebook but i cannot find the link to BIOS Reset Utility.Could someone please help me.I need to access my BIOS urgently.

Are trying to "Reset" the Bios because it is corrupt???

S ONo.I forgot my BIOS password and i need to install another OS on my machine which demands some initial BIOS configurations..

Sorry but flashing the BIOS will not work to remove the password.

 

The program that I have to clear the BIOS password will not work on any ProBook or EliteBook that the model number ends with 70, your model is 8470p.

 

 

For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

Looks like i will have to remove my cmos since it was a second hand laptop and my receipt is the only proof of ownership.Dont think whether HP support will help me that much
