Product: Elitebook 850 G8
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop: Elitebook 850 G8 running Windows 10 64-bit

 

Issue: Doesn't turn on

 

Error Description: When I press the power button for a while, the charging indicator blinks 10 times and while it is blinking the caps lock is on after that nothing else happens. If I press the power button for a while again the same thing happens again.

The charging indicator does not light up when I plug it in. I tried with my USB-C charger in both USB-C ports and my cousin's circular charger. Both chargers work properly on other devices and both were plugged in for more than 15 minutes.

The screen stays black, no keyboard backlight (even though it was on) and no sound is heard (although I did have my volume set to 0 last time).

 

Extra Details:

I rarely shut down my laptop. I have my laptop set to auto hibernate after 30 minutes.

The battery is not as good as it was when it was new but was still decent enough.

I last used it before going to sleep (about 8-ish hours before finding myself in this problem)
