Hello,

Steps to Address the Error "Machine is not in Committed State"

The error message "Machine is not in a committed state" can sometimes occur due to firmware or system issues. Here's what you can try to resolve this problem on your HP Notebook 15-da0097nk:

  1. Reset BIOS Settings:

    • Restart your laptop and press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
    • Press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
    • Once in BIOS, press F9 to load the default settings, then press F10 to save and exit the BIOS setup.
  2. Update BIOS:

    • Ensure you have the latest BIOS version installed. You can download the latest updates from the official HP Support website:
      • Go to HP Support, enter your product model, and navigate to the Drivers & Software section.
      • Download the latest BIOS update available and follow the instructions to update it.
  3. Check HP System Recovery:

    • Perform a system recovery to restore the laptop to its factory settings. This can solve system errors but will remove all the changes made after the initial setup.

    • Backup important data before proceeding.

    • Restart the laptop and press the F11 key repeatedly to access HP Recovery Manager.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the system recovery.

  4. Reinstall Windows:

    • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reinstalling Microsoft Windows 11. You can use a Windows installation media to perform a clean install, which might help to resolve any persistent software issues.
    • Again, ensure that you backup your important data before proceeding.

If none of these steps address the issue, it might be a more complex hardware-related problem. In such a case, it would be advisable to contact HP Support or a certified technician for further diagnostics.
