Hi there,

so I have this common problem with my good old laptop (8570p). When I press the turn on button, I have a black screen, with a blinking caps lock and num lock (3 times). I have done the suggested take out the battery, keep pushing the turn on button, etc. method, same problem. I have a 4gb ram module, I have tried it in the other slot, same thing. I have tried to replace the memory module with a different one, same thing. Now I am a little bit stucked here and I need help.

Thanks.

So if I understand you have tried to replace the module, and install it an the other slot? Do you have tried to clean the module and slots??

Thanks for the tip, I have tried to clean it with clean airflow. I still have a blank screen, but the blinking buttons are not blinking anymore 🙂

With all modules you have the blank screen? Any blinking LED? The power LED are on?

So I have blowed out with condensed air, if there was any dust inside. After replacing the memory back, turned on and no screen, no blinking appeared. I have tried the other slot as well, the same happened. I have tried both slots with another memory and same happened. I have tried turning on with no memory inserted, the blinking came back. Now I'm a bit clueless.
