I've created with Rufus an Linux-Mint-Installation-USB-Stick.

I've done "Standardeinstellungen wiederherstellen" (restore default settings) and

"BIOS-Sicherhiet auf Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen" (Reset BIOS security to factory settings).

Boot-Modus is set to "Betriebsystemunabhängig" (Operating system independent).

When I  select ESC and F9 after Power On, I get only

- Notebook Upgrade Bay

- Notebook Harddrive

- Notebook Ethernet

as booting options!

What have I do to, to get also the USB-Stick as an booting option?

The "standard problem" with new laptops is that they have Secure Boot enabled by default -- and that prevents even "seeing" anything to boot from other than the internal drive.  You have to disable Secure Boot -- and that is usually in the Security section of the UEFI settings.

Meanwhile I've detected, the USB-connectors on the right side of the EliteBook-8570w will not work -

I have installed LM21.3/Xfce by using a USB-connector on the left side of the EliteBook-8570w,

But I there's another problem - after installing the Linux Mint successfully, I can't boot it!

I get this messages:

https://cdn.appuals.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Boot-Device-Not-Found-error-768x395.jpg.webp

I've tried to solve the problem gy following this guide

https://appuals.com/boot-device-not-found-hard-disk-3f0-error-on-ubuntu-pc/

but without success,

At last the output of boot-repair has been placed  at

https://sprunge.us/auiYhX

I can use only the legacy boot mode, trying one of the other both, I get

the message: "ima: error communicating to tpm chip"

I've also tried to get help in a german linux mint forum:

https://www.linuxmintusers.de/index.php?topic=81011.0

I've found no menue point, where I can disalbe TPM, is there anyone?

"Integrierte TPM-Sicherheit" (integrated TPM security) under "Sicherheit" (security)

can't be selected (greyed out), even if I select "Native UEFI (ohne CSM)"

(Native UEFI (without CSM)) and "Secure Boot".

Sorry, but some of the newer laptops won't let you disable secure boot and it looks like you have one of them.
