Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble navigating my HP BIOS settings. I'm attempting to switch to AHCI mode, but I can't seem to locate the option within the BIOS menu.

I've gone through the BIOS settings several times, but I haven't found a straightforward way to enable AHCI. Has anyone else encountered this issue with their HP BIOS? If so, how did you go about enabling AHCI mode?

I'd appreciate any advice or tips on how to navigate this BIOS setting. Thanks for your help!

Hi:

According to the service manual, SATA drives are not offered in the model series.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

NVMe SSD's use a NVMe storage controller, not a SATA AHCI controller, so there would be no value to change the BIOS setting to AHCI even if the possibility existed.
