Thanks again for your help. It went to the red screen where the Q emblem popped up but once I pressed CTRL + ALT + DLT is went back to the black screen where it says there's no operating system. I just discovered from my mother where the computer came from that he friend that's a programmer tried putting more memory on it and I'm assuming that's what's wiped the system. Ugh. Would I have to buy another Windows version and install it or are there some codes I can score and reset this myself? Sorry if this was too much. Thanks again for getting me this far.
