@Bignorman, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a password issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The error message "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password" means that a BIOS or power-on password has been set on your HP Pavilion x360 13-u. If you don’t remember setting a password, you may need to reset it.
1. Try Common Passwords
- If you previously set a BIOS password, enter it.
- If unsure, try blank (just press Enter) or commonly used passwords like admin, password, 123456, etc. (if it was set accidentally).
2. Enter Incorrect Password Multiple Times
- Enter the wrong password three times.
- You will see a message like "System Disabled" followed by a numeric code.
- Note down the code and visit HP's official website to get a reset key, or share the code via private message, and I can guide you further.
Let me know the System Disabled code if you see one, and I’ll help you further! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi @LUISBIOS, It appears your system has been locked due to incorrect entry of the administrator or power-on password. Here are the general steps you can take to solve this issue:
Restart and Re-enter the Password
- Restart the system: Turn off your computer and turn it back on.
- Enter the correct password: When prompted, carefully enter the correct administrator or power-on password.
Password Reset Using BIOS
- Access BIOS Settings: Restart your computer and repeatedly press the F10 key until you enter the BIOS setup.
- Reset Password:
- Navigate to the Security section.
- Select the option to change or reset the power-on or setup password.
- Enter the current password when prompted, then enter your new password and confirm it.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS setup.
Clearing Passwords (If Forgotten)
If you have forgotten your password, you may need to reset it using the password jumper on the motherboard.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
