When I power on my laptop initially it is showing "Entering 3rd Party Option ROM Management" after that it goes to a screen where it shows Drivers. Under Drivers  it shows Devices List, Network Device List and Exit.

In Bios settings under UEFI Drivers only one option is there 3rd Party Option ROM Management. How disable this?

Hi @Yves225

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

To disable or configure the "3rd Party Option ROM Management" in your BIOS/UEFI settings, follow these steps:

1. Access the BIOS/UEFI Settings:

2. Navigate to the UEFI/Boot Settings:

  • Once inside the BIOS, look for a tab or section related to boot settings or "Boot Configuration."

  • Look for options that may refer to Boot Order, or Advanced Settings.

3. Look for "Option ROM" or "Third Party ROM" Settings:

  • Look for any settings that might be listed under Advanced or Boot settings. The "3rd Party Option ROM" is usually related to hardware like network boot adapters or RAID controllers.

  • In some systems, the Option ROM management could be listed as "Legacy Option ROM" or "Third-Party Option ROM."

4. Disable or Configure the 3rd Party Option ROM:

  • Once you find this setting, you should see options to either disable, enable, or configure it in some way.

  • If you're trying to stop the screen from appearing during boot-up, disable any option that relates to "3rd Party ROM" or "Legacy ROM."

5. Save and Exit:

  • After making the changes, make sure to Save your changes and Exit the BIOS.

6. Reboot and Check:

  • Once you exit the BIOS and reboot, check to see if the issue persists.
