I have Model 15m-ed0023dx and the hinge broke by pulling itself out of the case under normal use and then this in turn broke the screen. Unit is out of warranty, what are my options? I'm seeing this may be a common issue that is happening on the 360 convertible units. I went with HP for my last 2 laptops but have had issues with both so it's very disappointing.

Hi @UnoCH,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
I see that you are facing hinge issues with your HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ed0023dx.
This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.
I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
Note: Select your country from the dropdown, enter the city or postal code, select the product, change the radius, and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.
Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

This is a known issue with this laptop, is there a fix offered by HP since it's essentially unusable without fear of being hurt by the broken screen? I can search the group and see many other people with the same issue and HP has reached out to them for a fix.

Rainbow 23 I see you have replied to at least 5 people just yesterday on this same issue. Why is HP not taking care of this for their customers? This happened under normal use, all we did was pick up the laptop tp move it and the hinge comes out and breaks the screen. UGH!

The steps you gave me did not work so I just called the number you provided.
I was quoted $402.79 to have the machine sent into HP and fixed. I declined as that is very expensive to fix a problem that is so common. I certainly don't see myself purchasing another HP in the future as I'm now 2 for 2 with expensive repairs just outside of warranty.
I am surprised as this is a known issue that HP is not willing to cover the cost and this repair cost is about half the cost of a new machine.
