I'm just wondering what and how long others would wait before asking for a replacement? I bought this computer new from HP. It isn't what I ordered I wouldn't give this to a child. I honestly can't believe HP would put their name on this LEMMON. I got stuck with this nightmare by necessity not by choice and that's all I should say because people today believe that you shouldn't tell the truth if it makes someone look bad? I don't get it? That makes as much sense as peeing your pants and changing your shirt? The thing is this laptop is a month old slower than my 100 year old grandmother both booting up and logging in. Not every time but nearly every time. Then having to force shutdowns because the normal shutdown process doesn't always work? Let me answer that question now "no it isn't getting an update when this happens". It randomly freezes up and I'm constantly getting error messages. I researched those error codes at "Microsoft.com" and Microsoft freely admits that these errors are either "Software or Hardware" Microsoft programming issues. I know they aren't operator errors because I don't have these issues with my old computer a pavilion g6 2013 model. Which I will tell you runs circles around this lemon backwards. I was coerced into paying for a "HP Smartfriends" support policy and was told I had a virus? That was a sales pitch LIE because HP and McAfee both have looked into this and have given the computer a clean bill of health, nothing quarantined or sand boxed. However I am at HP Smart friends at least twice a week giving them remote access to resolve these issues. Last night they took over my computer all night long and ran the "chkdsk" on it This evening when I woke up I followed the instructions to reboot and to my surprise (not really just kidding) nothing was accomplished other than loss of computer use all night last night(I work nights ). I could go on but I wont . Let me just ask for opinions of others and would be grateful and yes you can remain anonymous. I'm fed up and tired of all this trying to beat a dead horse the warranty runs out in one month . I shouldn't have had to pay for any of the work being done now to begin with. I BOUGHT THIS NEW FROM HP & IT CAME WITH 60 DAY WARRANTY? Now I'm ready to demand not ask but demand a replacement WORKING computer. Although I seriously doubt anything will be done because all that has happened so far is I've gotten everything except a reach around. The only thing I want is this new computer to work like a new computer and it's obvious it cannot be fixed or at least not by HP tech's? Sorry if anyone thinks I'm ranting but I'm far from that and once again thanks for all opinions and suggestions . Writing corporate doesn't change anything so my next letter will be to the FTC and maybe that will do something? You know I have accepted the fact that I'm dying with cancer this is the fourth time in the last 5 years I've had cancer and it would e nice to live my last days not having to fight with a huge corporation to give me what I paid for. I really don't need the aggravation and stress. Sincerely 1KRAZYKYLE
