HP ENVY x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased my laptop last year but very soon after I brought it, I noticed that it could not boot up properly after putting it to sleep. Everytime I woke it up, the screen would flash and be very pixalated, thus forcing me to do a force shut down. I sent it off to HP who, after a number of weeks sent it back, stating on the sheet that they did not do anything to it.  However, it didn't do this again so I thought it was fixed.

Fast foward to today, after I woke it up, every few seconds the screen flashes green and black lines appear. It has not done this all year but now , a month after my waranty ran out, it is.

Does anyone have any ideas? I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the display is flashing every time the PC is turned off,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Did you have any power surges or accidents with the device before this issue occurred?

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2039298-1862169-16

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

While you respond to that, I must let you know that the fact your issue occurs only after waking from sleep points out that this is not an LCD failure but to do with the graphics card or it's drivers, hence I recommend you update to the latest BIOS, Chipset, and Graphics card drivers by Clicking here.

Let me know if those steps worked for you,

If they did, that's awesome!

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck
