Apologies for making a second thread on this issue, but contacting HP support didn't yield any useful results as they requested I pay £300 for a new piece of hardware to 'fix' the problem. If anyone has any idea what I can do to get around this issue without needing to pay anything, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows how to correctly remove the RTC battery, a link or bit of advice on doing so would be useful.
Serial Number: [edit]
The BIOS error code after 3 attempts:
System Disabled
A [E89D3039]

Sorry to hear that @EthanPugh
Well that's it.
You have tried everything that can be done.
I wish I had more but I don't.

For that model and (HEX) code you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to generate your Master code from your “SYSTEM DISABLED CODE”
Contact Support >> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
I have also heard that some have had success removing the RTC/BIOS battery???

Click on Display Panel Assembly and Real-time Clock (RTC) battery.

I successfully removed the RTC battery. However, booting without plugging it back in doesn't seem to work. I also tried leaving it disconnected for 10 minutes before plugging it back in which also didn't work.

Left them both disconnected for 5 minutes and held down the power button before reconnecting everything. On the first launch, I saw a screen saying the CMOS was reset and it would reboot. But, when I rebooted and tried to enter the BIOS, the password was still active and I couldn't access the BIOS.
