Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.
- What is the product number of your computer?
- Have you forgotten the BIOS password?
- What is the exact issue you are facing?
- Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
- Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?
Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!
Take care.
Cheers!

The product number is Windows 7 HP 2000 Notebook PC Product number QE282UA#ABA. I don't have a Bios password set up, it's the Windows main login password I forgot, I have done everything I could possibly think of to get into my other computer and have posted and asked everywhere to see how to get this resolved. I downloaded a password reset from my other computer onto a usb stick, but in the Bios the Legacy Support is missing so I can't enable it to be able to use the usb stick for the password reset. The only I answer I received is that I either have to reset the entire computer back to factory (which the reason I need to get into that computer is for the files, so if I factory reset it will delete those important files I actually need). And the other was to take it to a computer repair shop to see if they could get the password, etc. through the drives. Do you maybe know how to either fix the Legacy Support, or another way to get the original password for me?

Thank you for the information.
I see that your computer has a legacy BIOS. Do you see any option which says secure boot in the BIOS? If yes, then disable it and that should automatically enable the legacy support.
For the Windows password, yes, you need to reinstall the operating system to reset the password. For your files on the computer, you can remove the hard drive from this computer and connect it to a working computer and copy all the important files.

Connect the hard drive and it will be detected as a secondary drive and you can copy all the data from that hard drive.

Since you are using a Notebook, it's not possible to install the Hard drive Internally
You need to use a Hard drive enclosure for backup. Basically it's like a box when you can insert your Internal Notebook Hard drive and connect it to the USB port of a working computer and it acts as an external Hard drive
You can purchase the same from computer stores
Thank you
