@Youngy81, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble logging into your HP laptop. Password issues can be quite frustrating. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check for Caps Lock: Ensure that the Caps Lock key is not activated if your password is case-sensitive.

Try Alternate Versions: Consider different variations of your password, including common substitutions or typing errors you might have made initially.

Use the On-Screen Keyboard: If you suspect a keyboard issue, use the on-screen keyboard to input your password.

Password Recovery Options:

  • If you use a Windows account to log in, consider using the password recovery option provided by your Microsoft account.
  • If your device is linked to a HP account, you can try recovering your password through HP's support website.

Reset Password Using the Password Reset Disk: If you have previously created a password reset disk, use it to reset your password.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
