Hi,
After a while i tryed to update BIOS on my Elitebook 820G. But I stuck at the admin password. I tryed all former pass that I used but non worked out. I can get in the bios via fingerprint but cannot make any changes. How can I get smc.bin for my laptop?

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

 

That was the only way it could be done.

Most HP business notebooks including the one you purchased, do not generate system disabled codes.

 

Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.

Also the forum rules were amended on 1 March 2019, which no longer allow us to help with removing passwords.

Rule 4.d...

 

d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
